This is an excerpt from the biographical account of a prominent figure of Hindustani music in 16th Century, Tansen who later in his life became widely popular as one of the treasured jewel of Akbar’s court. In the poetic verses written in Hindi, this is a greetings of Eid from Tansen to Mughal Emperor, Akbar.
